email Timothy Smith is a registered patent attorney and a member of the firm's Litigation group. Mr. Smith assists clients ranging from individual inventors to large corporations including international companies. His emphasis is on patent prosecution and litigation as well as copyright and trademark litigation and drafting opinion letters.
Mr. Smith has extensive experience with multi-level marketing companies on matters such as trade secret appropriation and false advertising. In the course of such litigation, he has dealt with distributor, competitor and former employee issues.
He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with merit in 1990, and earned a Master of Science degree in International Relations from Troy State University in 1992. - "Protecting and Enhancing Intellectual Property Rights in the United States," presentation to clients and attorneys in Japan, 2003.
