email Terry Welch has been involved in numerous trials, arbitrations and mediations in federal and state courts, swiftly and successfully completing jury trials as well as complex commercial litigation requiring dozens of witnesses and extensive discovery. His approach to litigation is to understand and focus on his clients' business needs, then use innovative legal reasoning combined with knowledgeable trial, litigation and negotiation strategies. Opponents know Mr. Welch fully and aggressively prepares for trial and will try cases when it best meets his clients' needs, frequently forcing better and quicker resolution for cases that should settle.
Mr. Welch counsels clients on intellectual property and patent litigation, antitrust, product liability, insurance and bad faith disputes, manufacturer/distributor relations, and cases of tragic injury. He has handled significant trademark and Lanham Act matters including issues of infringement, trade dress and false advertising. Conversant in Japanese, Mr. Welch also works with Japanese companies doing business in the U.S. as well as U.S. companies doing business in Japan.

Handled numerous commercial insurance claims ranging from millions to more than $100 million for numerous business owners adverse to insurers in commercial insurance claims. Has also represented insurers and individuals regarding claims.

Successfully represents medical device, high tech and manufacturing companies to defend and enforce patent claims.

Secured summary judgment on behalf of an accused infringer in the medical industry who had been charged with more than $30 million worth of damages.

Obtained monetary damages on counterclaims for an accused infringer in the technology industry after achieving dismissal of all of the plaintiff's claims

Represents national manufacturers as well as local distributors in industries such as healthcare equipment, pump manufacturing, auto parts, auto dealers, and furniture manufacturing in termination, distribution and antitrust cases.
